Dental Implants –

CT Scanning

What is this for?
Dental CT scanning is a very useful tool in treatment planning for dental implants as it allows us to gauge the volume and quality of the jawbone available. It can also be used to help diagnose disease in the maxillary sinuses and nasal complex, as well as to examine individual teeth in complex endodontic (root canal) cases.

At 03 Dental we have our own state-of-the-art CBCT scanner, manufactured by Sirona in Germany. This is the XG3D scanner, one of only a few in Ireland. Damian Flanagan, our principal dentist, has done extensive training on this machine in London and Germany, as well as training on Cone Beam CT scanning. 03 Dental takes referrals for CT scanning, both dental and ENT.
